The California Department of Public Health strongly recommends that venue and event operators require attendees ages 2 and older to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated or have received a negative COVID-19 test. Mega-events – Coronavirus COVID-19 Response (ca.gov)
One of the sections is “Attendee Considerations”. As the venue and event operator of the Jockey Club, we are asked to plan options for those attendees who are at high risk of severe diseases such as the elderly and immunocompromised.
We put this request into action by surveying our current attendees at the Jockey Club. We learned that overwhelmingly, 90% of our current clientele is over the age of 57 and they have requested that those attending the Jockey Club should also be vaccinated.
Out of respect to our current clientele and in adherence to the state guidance in planning events we as the venue and event operator of the Jockey Club will continue to require vaccination status.
